Summary:


Responsible for both traditional- and digital-media strategy and implementation'including content creation, writing, audience development, and analytics reporting across all communications platforms.
 
 
Essential Functions:

  • Draft news releases and other editorial content.
  • Assist in message development, as well as media-engagement strategy and execution.
  • Support media relations team with database management, and monitor nationwide print and broadcast news coverage on a daily basis.
  • Implement and maintain a comprehensive editorial calendar.
  • Research, write, edit and design e-newsletters, including NADA Headlines and ATD Insider.
  • Manage day-to-day content creation/distribution across all social media platforms.
  • Compile weekly analytics reports'track KPIs and offer actionable insight regarding digital messaging, tactics, and trends.
  • Maintain awareness of best practices and emerging tools, and regularly offer new ideas and suggestions to improve the effectiveness of NADA's messaging.
  • Maintain influencer lists'regularly monitor conversations and third-party platforms, updating databases as appropriate.
  • Compile social media engagement plans surrounding key events and activities.
  • Manage public relations campaigns and special events, such as the pressroom at the NADA and ATD conventions.
     

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Partner on research for various projects, presentations, speeches and publications'serve as a contributor for speechwriting and create presentations as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date subscriber lists for NADA Headlines and ATD Insider.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
     

Qualifications: Education and Work Experience

Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, political science, marketing, communications or other related field preferred. 5+ years of experience working along side communication professionals in the traditional or digital media field preferred. Background in public and media relations and/or journalism is desirable. Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, researching and organizational skills required. Must be detail oriented with ability to handle multiple tasks under deadline pressure.
