Summary:           

Manage the processes for maintaining and increasing membership in NADA through telephone, electronic and written communications with members in grace, non-members, and lapsed members.

              

Essential Functions:        

  • Engage, interact, and communicate across all Dealership Operations departments and respective leadership.
  • Develop and manage membership marketing and membership records programs, including acquisition, retention, telemarketing, and dealership group programs.
  • Coordinate the production of various promotional materials for outreach and recruitment of members.
  • Manage the processes for timely membership renewals, including direct outreach to dealers, follow-up, invoicing, database updates, and dealership linking.
  • Analyze membership data and identify trends and opportunities to increase membership.
  • Collaborate with department Director to develop long and short-term membership development plans, benchmarks, and budgets.
  • Communicate the value and benefits associated with membership, determining what NADA products/ services are of specific interest to dealers.
  • Organize the schedule and activities of membership staff attending the annual convention.
  • Work with database supervisor to update database reports and to ensure the entered data and queries are maintained according to data integrity guidelines.
  • Oversee the overall functional requirements of the Association Management Software (AMS) database and recommend processes to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness of membership processes and data usage.
  • Coordinate with other NADA departments when members provide feedback on NADA programs or legislative/policy issues.
  • Forward pertinent information gathered from retention/acquisition calls to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve procedures to enhance membership marketing and retention.
  • Keep abreast of current membership management methods and association trends.
  • Manage Membership website content.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and develop direct reports.
  • Complete personal development requirements as noted in Employee Goals and Evaluation.
  • Promote brand awareness and support all Dealership Operations products and services.

              

Non-Essential Functions:              

  • Copy and distribute essential documentation of procedures.
  • Ensure documentation is kept up to date.
  • Other job related duties as assigned.

              

Qualifications:    Education and Work Experience

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field. Minimum of seven to ten years relevant professional experience managing customer acquisition or membership recruitment and retention, preferably in an association. Two years of supervisory experience preferred. Experience working with Association Management Software (AMS) or CRM databases required. Strong  interpersonal and telephone sales and marketing skills; ability to effectively communicate with dealers, dealership management staff, directors, at a professional level; strong organizational and project management skills; demonstrated intermediate computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); solid understanding of database fundamentals required.
