Responsible for the assessment, design, and development of curriculum for instructor-led training for NADA Academy, Allied-OEM training, 20 Group materials and any new products and services involving classroom, adult learning content.
Essential Functions:

  • Engage, interact, and communicate across all Dealership Operations departments and respective leadership.
  • Design and develop original training content and materials for NADA Academy, instructor-led training, and 20 Group, working collaboratively with other NADA departments, staff members, and subject matter experts while adhering to division wide design standards.
  • Collaborate to create scope and sequence of curriculum to identify learning gaps and to create a curriculum map.
  • Manage structure of course content, course outline, and learner evaluation.
  • Research and organize information and write instructional materials (Participant Workbooks, PowerPoint presentations, and Facilitator Guides, tutorials, job aids, references, tests, etc.) that transform complex, industry-related information into professionally written classroom instruction.
  • Conducts needs analysis, develops training objectives, and collaborates on instructional treatment to develop high-quality printed course materials that meet franchised dealership needs.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Assist in establishing and implementing standards for course development.
  • Contribute to staff training to reinforce methodologies and best practices for adult education.

Qualifications: Education and Work Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or equivalent, plus three to five years of instructional design experience required. Experience developing training for an instructor-led and blended learning environment and knowledge and practice of adult learning and education theory is required.  Previous experience facilitating process improvement to help adult learners and organizations learn. Must have strong project management skills and ability to meet project quality expectations and schedule commitments. Demonstrated experience in instructional design using current knowledge of emerging technologies and strong computer proficiency.  Must have advanced capabilities with Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.  Graphic design experience is a plus.
